Company Overview

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specialising in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Completions Manager to join a major renewable energy project in New South Wales (NSW). The role will focus on managing the handover process of physical project facilities, coordinating documentation, punch lists, and compliance with quality and contractual requirements.

Role Summary

The Completions Manager is responsible for preparing and executing project completion activities and handing over completed systems and documentation to the client. The role requires close coordination with construction, quality, commissioning, and stakeholder teams to ensure all deliverables are met as per contractual and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Completions Management Plan in alignment with the Handover Management Plan.
  • Coordinate completions milestones and closely monitor project progress.
  • Review subcontractors’ completion deliverables and ensure quality compliance.
  • Manage punch list walks, documentation, and closure of project delivery records.
  • Liaise with construction, commissioning, and quality teams for seamless handover.
  • Ensure all training, documentation, and certification is in place for system handover.
  • Monitor risks associated with completions and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Report completion status to project leadership and manage related documentation.
  • Interface with key disciplines including Quality, BIM, Information, and Handover Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • At least 5 years in a project completions role with experience in hydraulic or pumped hydro projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Aconex, and other completions or quality management software.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level and possession (or willingness to obtain) a valid White Card.
