Vesti to Launch a New AI Data Center Division Called Zyra Data in 2026

Vesti, the fast-rising AI-powered super app for immigrants, has announced plans to launch a new AI Data Center division called Zyra Data in 2026, marking a major leap in its evolution from fintech and immigration technology into deep infrastructure and artificial intelligence. The move underscores the company’s long-term vision to position Nigeria and West Africa as global players in data sovereignty and AI infrastructure development.

Zyra Data’s first facility, a Tier 2 data center, is already in motion with financing projected to reach $20 million, combining a mix of debt and equity that reflects the firm’s growing confidence among institutional and private investors. The first site is expected to go live in the fall of 2026, introducing a new revenue pillar for Vesti while supporting AI model training, high-compute workloads, and enterprise data services across Africa.

“This is a defining moment for us and for the continent,” said Olusola Amusan, CEO of Vesti. “We have always believed that Africa’s leap in AI will not come from importing infrastructure but from building our own indigenous data systems that are tuned to our realities. Zyra Data is our answer to that call.”

The company has spent the past two years making strategic moves to prepare for this next phase, including the acquisition of over 70 acres of real estate across Lagos and Osun States in 2024, a clear demonstration of long-term planning and physical readiness. According to Abimbola Amusan, COO of Vesti, “Zyra Data represents more than infrastructure; it is a bold signal that Nigerian companies can build at a global scale. Our ambition is to anchor the continent’s digital independence while providing platforms for innovation and inclusion.”

As the demand for AI-ready data centers surges globally, Vesti’s expansion into the sector positions it as one of the few African tech firms merging software, legal tech, and now physical compute infrastructure under a unified ecosystem. The establishment of Zyra Data is not only a strategic business decision but also a statement of intent — that indigenous AI data centers can lead Africa’s charge into the next decade of global technology competition.
