We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP of Hardware Engineering to drive the design, development, and scaling of our next-generation semiconductor metrology systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers working at the intersection of optical microscopy, quantum technology, radio frequency engineering, and precision instrumentation. You will play a pivotal role at QuantumDiamonds, developing our cutting-edge R&D prototypes and transforming them into robust, scalable products for industrial deployment.

What will you do
  • Plan feature and product development of cutting-edge devices from concept to production
  • Lead a team of highly motivated and interdisciplinary engineers. Guide and support them on technical, process and personal issues
  • Strong independence, you will have much freedom in shaping your team and your own management style
  • Ensure technical leadership and communicate results with other teams and management
What is expected of you
  • PhD in Physics, Optical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; exceptional candidates with an MSc and 6+ years of hands-on R&D experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven track record of 4+ years in a hardware engineering setting outside of academia working with complex optical and/or electronic measurement equipment.
  • Proven track record of 3+ years in a team lead role managing a team of several engineers 
  • Experience in project management, with concrete examples
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work hands‑on in the lab.
  • A background in one of the following is a significant plus:
    • Quantum sensing technologies
    • Semiconductor metrology
    • Precision instrumentation
    • Microscopy

Data Engineer (Jun./ Sen)

Job Requirements

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and an ability to explore and understand customers’ technical ecosystems and data, as well as an ability to communicate complex technical problems and their solutions clearly
  • Experience in programming and a demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages. There is no strict requirement on the knowledge of any particular languages, since on each project we may need to adjust to the customer’s existing technical landscape. Commonly used languages include Python, C#, Scala and various dialects and procedural extensions of SQL 
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud-based data architecture and cloud services, preferably with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Spark and the Hadoop stack is an advantage
  • Experience working with various databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Experience in building data processing pipelines and defining data architectures
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with data scientists and a good understanding of their needs

Product Engineer

Role
We are looking for a motivated and talented Product Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO and Product Designer to deliver a platform that enables Entropy and other developers to deploy AI agents with the Entropy Network’s decentralized tooling, such as threshold signatures and TEEs. You will be responsible for the development life cycle, from conceptualisation to deployment, and for ensuring a great user experience. This is a high-impact role for the organization and a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting space at the intersection of Web3 and AI.

Product development and research

Design, build, and deliver products end-to-end, taking ownership of every stage, including ideation, prototyping, development, testing, and launch of the desktop app.

Advocate for and implement designs that prioritize user experience, gathering feedback to iterate and refine the product.

Market Research
Stay updated on trends in AI, user agents, generative interfaces, and the broader crypto industry.
Translate those insights into actionable product features or strategies.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

Create and maintain detailed documentation of product designs, technical specifications, and development processes.

Job requirements

  • Familiarity with modern software engineering practices for writing, testing, deploying, and maintaining code (we’re looking for engineers, not hackers).
  • We’re building a desktop app, so ideally knowledge of Rust and Tauri framework development, or similar tooling such as Electron.
  • Strong understanding of AI, and the practical applications of user agents in product environments.
  • An interest and curiosity around GenAI and surrounding tools and frameworks for working with it.
  • A track record of delivering products from concept through to MVPs and production.
  • Proactive and dependable self-starter with the ability to prioritize well.
  • Experience with design systems as well as the ability to think about problems in terms of systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate well with people of different levels of technical proficiency.
  • Within -6h/+2h of CET Timezone, and willingness to travel to Berlin to work in-person with our leadership team.
  • Bonus Points:
    • Experience working with other decentralized networks, e.g. Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, etc.
    • Knowledge of cybernetic concepts such as feedback loops.
